The Office - Storyboarding

Hey readers, we're not done with storyboarding just yet! - This week I will be recreating a storyboard for this famous scene from the hit show, The Office. The scene I will recreate will be the from the "parkour" episode (Season 6, Ep 1). I have composed a short script for this six scene storyboard as well as reference pictures for each.

 Scene 1: Andy & Michael: [walking across cars in parking lot, Dwight filming] Parkour! Parkour!

Scene 2: Andy & Michael: [walking across cars in parking lot, Dwight filming] Parkour! Parkour!
Dwight: [crouching beside car] Jump over the camera! Jump over the camera!

Scene 3: [Michael feebly attempts to jump off a car, gives double thumbs up to camera]

Scene 4: Michael: [standing on a tractor-trailer with Dwight and Andy, looking down] Okay, we all go together or we go one at a time.
Andy: Here it is, here it is... truck, to refrigerators, to a dumpster, [camera pans to refrigerator boxes, then dumpster] 360 onto the pallets, backflip gainer to the trash can.

Scene 5: Michael & Dwight: [in unison] Yeah! Gainer! Woohoo!
Andy: Hardcore Parkour!
Michael: Parkoooooour!
Dwight: Let's do it!

Scene 6: Andy: [leaps from the trailer] Yeah!

This week I began to etch out some ideas for a poster dedicated to the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic games. I've decided to focus on a local athlete, Gabrielle Daleman of Toronto, Ontario. She is a figure skater for team Canada and is competing in the 2018 games. The Office - Storyboarding Thumbnails Finished!

Hey readers, I've completed the greyscale and comps for this six frame skit. Here is a side by side comparison, with the script as reference. I finally had time to complete a lump some of the paintings. I haven't presented my ability well within previous posts I'll admit but I haven't had the time to put in work until now. A lot can happen when I have more time on my hands and fewer assignments to complete!  To paint this I used a handful of techniques, both learned at school and self-taught by programs like Skillshare and youtube tutorials. Skillshare is an amazing site with tons of useful tips for a variety of subjects, I would recommend checking it out. PyeongChang 2018 Poster

This week, as mentioned in my post last week, I have completed a poster for the PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympics. My poster was based on  Gabrielle Daleman  of Toronto, Ontario. She is a figure skater for team Canada and is competing in the 2018 games. I am looking forward to future projects. I am happy with the illustration but as many artists would say about themselves - I can use a bit of work.
