PyeongChang 2018 Poster

Image
This week, as mentioned in my post last week, I have completed a poster for the PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympics. My poster was based on  Gabrielle Daleman  of Toronto, Ontario. She is a figure skater for team Canada and is competing in the 2018 games. Here you can find more information about Gabrielle Daleman:  https://olympic.ca/team-canada/gabrielle-daleman/ I am happy I finally was able to utilize my wacom drawing tablet. I am looking forward to future projects. I am happy with the illustration but as many artists would say about themselves - I can use a bit of work.

Olympic Theme

This week I began to etch out some ideas for a poster dedicated to the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic games. I've decided to focus on a local athlete, Gabrielle Daleman of Toronto, Ontario. She is a figure skater for team Canada and is competing in the 2018 games. Here you can find more information about Gabrielle Daleman:  https://olympic.ca/team-canada/gabrielle-daleman/  I created four thumbnail designs, and I've created a comp based off of one of my designs. Below I've presented some inspirational pictures that I used to help create these designs. Next week I will work towards creating a fully rendered version of this poster. Stay tuned!

Illustration Friday Render

Image
For this week's Illustration Friday the theme was "Mythology". I've decided to create a tattoo sleeve concept from this theme. I've composed four thumbnails and have further rendered one of them. For inspiration, I've sought out the mythology tag on Pintrest. I was finally able to use my tablet in the rendered composition. I can't wait to use it again for future work. My thumbnails incorperate the themes of Medusa, Zeus, Poseidon, and Cyclopse. My final render incorporates the theme of Medusa. I have sketched a half body portrait as well as decorative wrist piece with a coiled snake. I threw some vine decoratives in the design to tie it all together.
